Please arrive to your session clean and healthy. If you are feeling sick or have someone at home that may be contagious, please reschedule.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
It’s normal for unexpected things to come up. If you need to change your appointment in any way, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required to avoid a cancellation fee. Please call or text me as soon as you know you need to make a change. *Exceptions will be made if you wake up sick the morning of your session.
Do I have to wear a mask?
Currently masks are not worn unless requested.
How do you clean the room between clients?
I use chemical-free all purpose cleaner on all parts of the table, face cradle, bolster, door handles, tools, and surfaces that may be touched by a client. Fresh, clean sheets washed with hypo-allergenic laundry detergent are on the table for each session.
What can I expect at my first massage session?
On the day of your first session, you will arrive and fill out an intake form. Then we will discuss the form and create treatment goals for the day. If you have any other concerns, those can also be addressed. After our brief discussion, I will I leave the room and wash my hands and forearms while you get on the treatment table. I will knock before re-entering the room to make sure you are ready, and then the massage will commence. Afterwards, I leave the room again to wash my hands while you get up off the table.
What should I wear to my massage?
There is facilitated stretching involved in the sports medicine treatment so please wear comfortable clothes. For the relaxation treatment, you will always be appropriately draped with a sheet and blanket, so you may undress to the level of your comfort.
What should I wear to my yoga lesson?
Please wear clothes that are breathable and stretchy. You will be most comfortable with an elastic waistband on pants or shorts, no zippers and no buttons. Its common to sweat a little or a lot, depending on our goals.
What forms of payment can you take?
I can take cash, check, credit card, and Venmo payments.
What is “massage brain”?
Clients often get so relaxed during a massage that they feel like they’re floating or just waking up once the session has concluded. This also happens frequently at the end of a yoga class because of the final relaxation. Just give yourself a little extra time to come back to “full operation mode.” I always recommend drinking water and a gentle walk before driving. The walk will help the session set into the muscular system more effectively.
